Featured on CNN Travel – Explore Parts Unknown – Ultimate Traveler for her love of Newfoundland’s winter season, Lori offers cold weather experiences difficult to access anywhere else. Lori has garnered the attention of several television shows, magazines and newspapers for her work including National Geographic, National Post and Canadian Geographic Travel. She keeps a close relationship with the Nature Conservancy, as director on the Canadian Wildlife Association, and Nature Newfoundland & Labrador continues to invite her to speak at their events.

Through her company Food Culture Place, she shares these foods, foodways and food practices through a Cultural Food Residency. A 3-6 residency to explore the local culture through food. These programs reflect her passion driven purpose to keep the foods and food ways alive as part of the Islands culture. WIth such programs and immersive events like Girls With Game, On The Hunt, Game Butchery, Wild Game Cookery and Foraging. These experiences are introducing a diverse population to the joys of food from the land and sea, connecting people and food to place, and ensuring the next generation will keep alive these most basic elements of culture.
